easy-graft CRYSTAL is a pre-filled syringe of biphasic synthetic composed of 60% hydroxyapatite and 40% β-Tricalcium Phosphate beads (A) coated in a micro-thin layer of PLGA polymer (B) indicated for bone defects in the oral cavity.
APPLICATION FLEXIBILITY (video link)
Each easy-graft CRYSTAL includes an activator which immediately after application into the syringe causes the polymer to become sticky creating an amorphous mouldable and flowable mass that has the additional benefit of acting as a surgical tool during application.
When compressed in the defect, body fluids (or saline) flush-out the activator causing the beads to re-harden and form a stable interconnected analogue scaffold matched to the defect shape.
BARRIER FREE APPLICATION
In 4 walled defects, sockets, tunnel grafts and sites where the periosteum remains intact easy-graft CRYSTAL will not require a membrane for stabilization.
RESORPTION AND VOLUME PRESERVATION
easy-graft CRYSTAL is partially resorbed by cellular mechanism and direct dissolution in 2 distinct phases.
-> β-TCP resorbs completely creating space within the HA for new bone formation over a 5 to 15-month period.
-> The HA component remains embedded in newly formed bone, increasing the mineral density and preserving the regenerative bone volume.
easy-graft CRYSTAL is presented as a complete system in boxes of 3 units containing either 0.15cc, 0.25cc or 0.4cc.
